Carrot contains two types of antioxidants which are carotenoids and anthocyanins which help to fight against cancerous cells. Carotenoids are responsible for the orange coloration of carrots and anthocyanins for its red and purple coloration.

Night blindness oftentimes result from vitamin A deficiency which is present in carrots. It also contains antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin which can prevent the eye organ from degenerating. To a large extent eating carrot can help you improve your vision.

Carrot has a wealth of vitamin C which contributes to the production of collagen which is needed for the replacement of body tissue and keeps the body healthy.
